EXETER — A host of candidates vying for local, state and national office joined an estimated crowd of 250-plus at Swasey Parkway on Tuesday evening to discuss the issues they believe will be at the center of the elections this fall.

Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) mailed 1,024 Anti-Tax Pledges to candidates running for office in New Hampshire. All candidates are encouraged to sign AFP-NH’s Anti-Tax Pledge and go on the record in support of smaller government, lower taxes, and the Constitution. AFP has already collected nearly sixty signed pledges from candidates seeking the following offices: U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Governor, State Senate, Executive Council and State Representative.

Prominent and lesser-known Republican candidates for federal and state office dutifully lined up Wednesday to sign a pledge to oppose higher taxes and spending if elected.
Americans For Prosperity’s New Hampshire branch sponsored the tax pledge signing event that attracted GOP hopefuls from top to bottom on the ballot.
